Part 6, Appendices and references, Table A.3, Flight Crew Licencing provides information on the number of flight crew licences which have been issued in the period 2011-12 to 2015-16. A closer examination shows that the number of Commercial Pilot Licences Helicopter issued in 2011-12 was 257 while the number issued in 2015-16 was 185.

An examination of the Aircraft Register on the CASA website shows a total of 2202 helicopters registered in Australia.
