The Australian Helicopter Industry Association (AHIA), in collaboration with the New Zealand Helicopter Association, is proud to present a landmark safety and education tour featuring internationally renowned helicopter safety expert Claude Vuichard. This highly anticipated event will take place across Australia and New Zealand in August 2025.

Claude Vuichard

Claude Vuichard is globally recognized for his innovative Vortex Ring State recovery technique. Beyond this, he is highly respected for his engaging and insightful seminars covering topics such as:

• Conducting autorotations
• Avoiding inadvertent IMC
• Energy management
• Aeronautical decision-making
• Human factors and accident analysis

Additionally, on Thursday, 7 August at Camden, AHIA will host RotorTalk25 Engineering and Chief Pilot / HOFO workshops / forums to address key challenges facing the helicopter industry. An informal networking dinner will be held that evening in Camden, ahead of the Vuichard workshop the following day.

Claude is type-rated on numerous aircraft including the R44, AS350, H145, B206 and A109, and will be available to demonstrate his techniques in these platforms. The goal is to equip selected instructors and observers with practical knowledge they can integrate into their own training, instruction, and checking programs.
